Although Netflix has always been in news about cancelling shows in the past, which doesn’t seem to happen in this case as Netflix has officially announced the third season of Sex Education on 10 February saying that the production will start by the end of this year.
The series is created by Laurie Nunn and was in the Netflix’s top 10 most streamed series for the year 2019. As per the sources, the third run is expected in January 2021
According to Laurie Nunn, the show’s characters have got legs and the series can continue for several more seasons. Ain’t this interesting?
There has been no such confirmation regarding the main characters so we’d expect all of the main characters to return including Asa Butterfield as Otis Milburn, Gillian Anderson as Dr Jean F. Milburn, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric Effiong, Emma Mackey as Maeve Wiley, Patricia Allison as Ola Nyman, Connor Swindells as Adam Groff and Kedar Williams-Stirling as Jackson Marchetti.
The audience may get to see more of Edward Bluemel as Maeve’s brother- Sean Wiley who has been missing since the first season.
While there has been no disclosure regarding the plot of the third season, the streamer announced that is comedy is back for another round through a hilarious and fun-loving promo video, featuring the very best Alistair Petrie as Mr Groff.
The season 2 ended with Otis confessing his love for Maeve over voicemail, But Issac who also has a crush on Maeve deleted the voicemail, so there is a possibility that season 3 will begin with Otis thinking of his rejection.
