The society is a popular, mystery thriller Netflix web series. It was released on May 10, 2019 with Kathryn Newton in the lead role. The story was about a group of teenagers who return early from a cancelled picnic to find out that majority of their town’s population had disappeared. The town was surrounded by a thick Forrest that stopped any contact with the outside world. Therefore the teens had to form a society of their own in order to survive.
Season one had a heart breaking ending that left the fans with a lot of unaswered questions. In July 2019 the series was renewed for a second season 2 that will continue the plot.
Release date
Season 1 was released on May of 2019. As of now the exact release date for season 2 isn’t available, however it is expected that it will be out in May 2020.
Which cast members will be back
Many of the characters died in season one, leaving only a few people. So, it is obvious that the same characters will be back for second season. Rachel Keller, Seth Meriwether, and Chloe Levine won’t be returning for season 2 due to their death in season 1.

Plot for season 2
Season two will continue after the ending of season 1. The teens will have to figure out how to survive without any contact with the outside world. It was also known in the season 1 that the town members haven’t disappeared. But these teenagers were somehow teleported into another parallel reality.
