Barbie is branding itself as the “most distinct doll line” on the vend after unveiling a batch of new dolls promoting inclusive hairstyles, skin tones and body types. Mattel on Tuesday affirmed a doll with vitiligo, a doll with no hair, and a doll with a drab skin tone and a gold fake limb.
According to Mattel, the creator of Barbie dolls, the Barbie Fashionistas line now encompasses 176 dolls with 8 body types, 35 skin tones and 94 hairstyles, “constructed to reflect the world girls see today.”
