When is the second season going to be released?
The shooting of the second season has been started and confirmed by Ben Platt who stars in the series. However, Netflix has still not confirmed when the series next season will become available. It is believed that it would be available soon as Netflix had a deal for two seasons of the show.

The politician is basically a teen web series that revolves around their political lives. It revolves around Payton, a sad and depressed boy whose life is completely messed up. He is an alcohol addict and spends most of his night at a bar.
However, later some people insist him to run for the senate. He agrees and fights the election. His opponent has been undefeated for a long time and has a large probability of winning this one too.
Luckily, Payton knows some of the dark secrets of his opponent Dede! This gave him an edge and a step towards winning!
The second season basically contains scenes of the election campaigns. However, it is going to be a lot different from the first one. There could be some romance for Payton in the second season!
Unlike the first one, the second season would have less musical scenes. There won’t be much sad singing by Payton this time!
How many seasons will actually be there for the politician?
Netflix initially ordered two seasons but there was a plan for at least five. But recently, Netflix has been shutting down many of its shows. The politician is a very high budgeted show and if won’t surpass the expectations, it is bound to be dropped by Netflix!
