Lil Reese is in critical condition!! He suffered a single gunshot wound to the neck. The Chicago rapper is currently hospitalized in his home town of Illinois after he was shot inside a vehicle by a gunman with a small rifle.
The shooting allegedly took place around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, in Country Club Hills—a suburb south of Chicago. It was reported that when cops arrived at the scene, they found an empty car with blood on the driver’s seat and on the ground adjacent to the car. Officers were told that the victim was taken away from the scene by a man to the hospital. The authorities then searched nearby hospitals for a man that suffered a gunshot wound in his neck. They found him in South Suburban Hospital’s emergency room before he was transferred to Christ Medical Center.
Speculation of Lil Reese being shot began to circulate following multiple local reports that an unidentified man was shot in the neck in Country Club Hills near Chicago. Later the victim was identified as rapper Lil Reese, real name Tavares Taylor. Witness reports state that Lil Reese was followed by another car during a chase he heard 12 gunshots. The person who was driving shot Lil Reese with a small rifle and fled the scene. The suspects’ name is still unaware.
After the incident, Lil Durk took to Twitter with a tweet saying, “Reese good,” in regards to Lil Reese being shot.

Who is Reese?
Reese appeared on Chief Keef’s breakout 2012 single “I Don’t Like” where his musical career started. He is a high school dropout. He released his debut mixed tape later in 2012, followed by a second mixtape, “Supa Savage,” in 2013. He has previously worked with fellow artists such as Juelz Santana, Rick Ross, Drake, and many more.
