Recently, Modern Family‘s Sofia Vergara posted an epic throwback pic from Miami Beach captured sometime in the 1990s, and she looks pretty amazing!
It goes without saying that she hasn’t really changed!
But how does the actress do it?! The answer is Balance, balance, and balance!
Sofia’s trainer Jennifer Yates told Marie Claire about the actress’ works out schedule. When they have a “good shooting schedule,” she takes five and seven days per week. But if that’s not possible, she takes breaks.
Yates said that it is fine to “give yourself a break” because of which the body bounces back stronger.
She added that it is important to let your body rest, even when “you’re working out a few days during the week.”
In 2017, Sofia told Women’s Health that she had a problem with her knee. Due to this, she can’t do squats, jumps, or running. As a result, she’s into doing the Megaformer. Sofia described it as “an advanced Pilates machine.” So, as an alternative to running, the star walks on the treadmill at a 6 to 8 percent incline to build muscle in her butt and legs.
Also, Yates revealed that “twice a week, we’ll do butt exercises because that’s the area she (Sofia) really loves to focus on.” Sometimes they do upper body and abdominal.
Meanwhile, here’s a photo of Sofia in a bikini posted in July this year.
And here’s what Sofia looked like in that throwback pic:
However, her workout doesn’t mean Sofia deprives herself of the foods she loves. Yates said that she trains her clients in such a way ” that there should never be guilty with pleasure.” Moreover, her clients are allowed “piece of pizza or cupcake.”
But they have to limit themselves to that only, she says.
