Rising comedian, actor, and TikTok sensation Matt Rife is gearing up for his highly anticipated first-ever world tour. The ProbleMATTic World Tour, produced by Live Nation, is set to captivate audiences across North America, Australia, and Europe throughout 2023 and 2024.
With an extensive schedule of over 100 dates, the tour kicks off on Thursday, July 20 in Bend, OR at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater. Rife will traverse North America, making stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Austin, and numerous other cities throughout the year. The tour will culminate with a New Year’s Eve show on Sunday, December 31 at The Louisville Palace in Louisville, KY.
In 2024, Rife will continue his global journey with a series of dates in Australia, starting on Thursday, January 11, in Perth at the Perth Concert Hall. He will then visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and embark on a second North American run, including iconic cities like New York, Chicago, Nashville, and Toronto. The tour will conclude in Europe with shows in Amsterdam, London, Paris, and a final performance on Friday, October 20 at Santeria Toscana 31 in Milan.
Adding to the excitement, Hollywood stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, who are avid fans of Rife, lent their support by helping promote his world tour in a promotional video. In the video, Kutcher portrays a genie who grants Rife’s wish for a world tour. Kunis makes a brief appearance, with Rife jokingly expressing his desire for a date with her, which Kutcher humorously denies.
Expressing his excitement, Rife shared, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to live out this lifelong dream! To tour the world, spreading laughter, with some of my best friends, is something I never thought would be possible. I’m so grateful to get this opportunity, and it’s even more fulfilling knowing that it’s all because of the incredible people who enjoy my comedy. I’ve been working so hard towards this for 12 years, and now I’ve surrounded myself with a team who works just as hard and shares the same passion! I still can’t believe it.”
Andy Levitt, VP of Live Nation Comedy Touring, expressed his enthusiasm for Rife’s talent and popularity, stating, “Matt has quickly become one of the fastest-rising comics, creating incredible global demand for tickets. We’re looking forward to working alongside him and helping him connect with his audiences around the world.”
In recent years, Rife has garnered widespread attention with his comedy. He released his first one-hour comedy special, “Only Fans,” on YouTube in 2021, which he self-produced and distributed. This was followed by his highly anticipated second stand-up special, “Matthew Steven Rife,” released on YouTube in April. The special, dedicated to his late grandfather Steven, was taped in Austin, TX. Rife is also set to tape his third stand-up special in Washington, DC at DAR Constitution Hall later this year.
Rife’s journey in the entertainment industry began with his TV debut on MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out,” where he showcased his comedic skills. He also hosted the network’s TRL reboot and has made appearances on popular shows such as “Fresh Off the Boat” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” In 2019, he participated as a contestant on NBC’s comedy competition show, “Bring the Funny.” However, it was Rife’s presence on TikTok that truly skyrocketed his fame, amassing over 13 million followers and more than 2 billion views globally to date. Additionally, he
boasts an impressive 3.6 million followers on Instagram.
