The BBC Has Extended “SAS Rogue Heroes” For A Second Season
The BBC confirmed the second season of Steven Knight’s thriller SAS Rogue Heroes following the series’ spectacular finale.
The information was revealed at the conclusion of the series, which chronicles David Stirling as he tried to establish the very first special commando force during World War II.
Season 2 Plot:
The action will pick up where the series finale left off—with Paddy Mayne, portrayed by Jack O’Connell, stepping over as leader of Rogue Heroes during the 2023 season’s production.
Knight expressed his excitement to continue the narrative after season ones’ overwhelming success in response to the news of season two.
He continued by saying that the second season would take the SAS to Europe and test the capabilities of its heroes.
The show’s massive iPlayer viewership, according to BBC drama director Lindsay Salt, is proof of Steven Knight’s amazing capacity to transform history into current, compelling entertainment.
The team is thrilled to be collaborating with Steven and Kudos to bring the intriguing next Rogue Heroes story into existence, she continued, adding that BBC audiences have embraced that series in a big way.
The Original Season’s Cast
Sofia Boutella from Kingsman, Dominic West from The Crown, Tom Glynn-Carney from House of the Dragon, and Theo Barklem-Biggs from Cherry are among the actors who featured in SAS Rogue Heroes.
The release date for season 2 is uncertain. Season 2 is currently scheduled to begin filming in 2023, so the early recommissioning is encouraging that filming will go fast.
Though a release date of 2024 seems more likely, we would guess that the earliest we may see the season 2 episodes would be by the end of 2023.
The UK and Morocco will serve as the locations for the second season of SAS Rogue Heroes, which will start production in 2023.
SAS Rogue Heroes Schedule
One could watch the entire first season of SAS Rogue Heroes online now and on BBC iPlayer. The sixth episode will premiere on BBC One on Sunday, December 4, at 9 p.m. Episodes are also running on a weekly basis.
