Mac Miller’s Alleged Drug Dealer Is The Reason Behind His Untimely Death

Mac Miller’s alleged Drug Dealer is being charged for his death after nearly a year.

The American rapper, Mac Miller’s untimely death on September 7, 2018, had shaken the entire Hollywood. He died at the age of 26 from an accidental drug overdose due to ‘mixed drug toxicity’ of fentanyl, alcohol, and cocaine.

Now, almost a year since the rapper’s death, his drug dealer, Cameron James Pettit has been charged for his death. He is accused of supplying counterfeit drugs to the late rapper which led to his death due to overdose. Pettit was arrested by special agents from Drug Enforcement Administration on Wednesday. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department and the U.S Attorney’s Office issued a press release. He is being charged with one count distribution of the controlled substance.

Reportedly, the criminal complaint is 42 pages long and states that Miller allegedly asked for 30-milligram Oxycodone pills, Cocaine, and sedative Xanax from Pettit via text a few days before his sudden death in his Studio City, California, which he agreed to sell. The affidavit further alleges that Pettit sold Miller counterfeit oxycodone pills which contained fentanyl– ‘powerful synthetic opioid that is 50x more potent than heroin’ in the early hours of September 5.

The affidavit also revealed that Pettit had sent messages to his friends on Instagram after Miller’s death saying, “I’m not great… Most likely I will die in jail,” and that he should probably not post anything “just to be smart”. Pettit will face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison if found guilty of the drug trafficking charges.
