The Supergirl co-stars Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood finally tied the knot on Sunday, 1st of September in California. The couple had been dating since 2017 after Melissa’s divorce and had announced their engagement this year only in February.
The wedding happened at a private estate in Ojai, California. They were joined on their special day by their CW family including Odette Annable, Paul Wesley, and Kevin Smith.
The couple exchanged vows by a pool and a source revealed that it was a beautiful setting for a wedding, very peaceful and quiet. The vows were brief and lasted for about 15 minutes.
The ceremony was followed by a reception held in an adjacent grove of trees. Long tables were set up for all the guests, lots of glowing candles and lights strung all about the place. The source further revealed that the food was served family-style and everyone passed the dishes back and forth.
All in all, the reception was a proper elegant outdoor dinner party. Everything was just perfect and lovable. The newly married couple was surrounded with mirth and laughter all around.
Melissa and Chris reportedly got engaged this year in the month of February. Melissa took to Instagram to announce her engagement. She posted a picture of her being kissed by Chris on cheeks, of course showing her big engagement ring. She captioned it, “yes yes yes it will always be yes”. Later, Chris also posted the same picture on social media captioned, “the happiest”.
The couple had met on the sets of Supergirl in 2016. The two started dating in 2017 after Melissa’s divorce with Blake Jenner in 2017.
