In the world full of humans classified as men and women, the transgender people have to manage to make space for themselves. They are looked upon as a different species and not treated commonly. To support the group, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Carter used her platform to support and empower the LGBT+ people throughout her career. Beyoncé has turned 38 now and to celebrate the day, here are eight times when she roared for the “gay rights.”

1. Dedicated her GLAAD Award to her Gay Uncle.

In March 2019, Beyoncé and Jay-Z accepted the GLAAD Vanguard Award for their contribution in the LGBT+ community. Moreover, she dedicated the award to her uncle, saying that he was the most fabulous gay man she had ever met. Also, she believes that LGBTQIA rights are human rights.

2. Collaborated with boundary-defying gay rapper Big Freedia.

In 2016, Beyoncé’s music video had many references for the police brutality and several looks and for that, she had chosen Freedia for recording some vocals for her new upcoming single.

To spread a message to celebrate everyone’s uniqueness, Beyoncé in the habit of uplifting the LGBT+ community, hired Laverne Cox for her AW17 Ivy Park campaign.

5. Used Lemonade to spotlight LGBT+ couples.

Beyoncé made an album Lemonade which tells a tale of infidelity, anger, and reconciliation, with the final track ‘All Night’ celebrating love in all forms. The scenes from the video included same-sex partners too.

7. Used a world tour to campaign for Trans bathroom rights.

In her 2016 world tour, she supported the idea of trans bathrooms and said that there must be equality among all and also in the core of the controversy of trans bathrooms

8. Platformed Trans activist Janet Mock.

She shared the profile of Mock, a profile Trans author, director, and activist and said to her to make her website. Every time she would do anything, she was Beyoncé and never changed.
