Gigi and Bella Hadid’s beloved grandmother Ans van den Herik had passed away at the age of 78 after battling cancer for a long time.
The Hadid family went on to social media to share this heartbreaking news on August 30. Herik was the grandmother of Bella and Gigi Hadid and the mother of American-Dutch actress Yolanda Hadid.

Everyone in the family was in the utmost grief after the death of the eldest member of the family. Gigi Hadid posted a series of posts including throwback pictures of her and her grandmother.
In the first post, she wrote OMA FOREVER. In the second post, she called her grandmother an Angel Queen and revealed that she battled cancer six times in her life.
Bella Hadid also went onto Instagram and posted a video of her and her grandmother. With the caption saying that her beautiful grandmother is now resting in peace. She continued by saying that her grandmother also taught her many things in life. Bella also added that she is not able to process the idea that she will not be able to hug her grandmother again.

Mohamed Hadid the father, of Bella and Gigi Hadid, also posted an emotional post for Herik, praying for her soul.
