Mike Shouhed, a star of “Shahs of Sunset,” was slapped with 14 criminal charges including domestic violence. He was detained on March 27 for alleged domestic abuse, Page Six has exclusively learned.
The West Valley police reacted to a report of “unknown” disturbance at around 10 p.m. local time, according to confirmation from the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday.
An LAPD public relations officer revealed that Shouhed, 43, was detained for “intimate partner violence with injury,” which is another legal term for domestic abuse. When the victim has “visible injuries,” it is applied.
The claimed victim of Shouhed was not given a description.
The Bravolebrity was jailed on March 28 at about 1:05 a.m. local time, according to court documents from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
According to the sheriff’s office, Shouhed was charged with corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, a felony.
The LAPD informed Page Six that Mike Shouhed was detained on March 27 for domestic abuse.
He was issued a $50,000 bond and detained until 6:35 a.m., when he was eventually freed after making the payment. On July 25, he is expected back in court.
Alex Kessel, Shouhed’s attorney, tells Page Six that his client disputes each and every charge.
The reality star hasn’t said anything on social media about his arrest.
He did, however, lately post a number of mysterious images on his since-deleted Instagram Stories, one of which stated, “Your life is your duty. Your success is entirely up to you. You are accountable for your failure. You are accountable for how you respond. You are accountable for your actions.
Additionally, on Monday, Shouhed shared a since-deleted video of himself dancing in his car to the Spanish song “Rebelion” by Joe Arroyo, whose lyrics include the English translation of the Spanish phrase “don’t hit the black woman,” “No le pegué a la negra.”
On Instagram, Shouhed continued to appear to be following Paulina Ben-Cohen as of Monday morning. She may or may not have participated in the domestic violence event.
Ben-Cohen did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment right away.
Immediately after a cheating-sexting controversy, the couple declared their engagement in August 2021.
While dating Ben-Cohen, Shouhed was accused of sending lewd texts to another woman. After first disputing the allegations, Shouhed finally admitted his guilt in May 2021.
He earlier admitted to doing things he shouldn’t have done to E! News: “We were going through COVID, being on lockdown, and I let the nervousness of going through that and simply being bored cause me to do things I shouldn’t have done.”
Even though the text exchanges occurred over a short period of time—a few hours and one day—looking back, I feel incredibly stupid for allowing myself to participate in that conversation. Reliving it now feels like it lasted for a very long time.

During an appearance on “WWHL,” Paulina Ben-Cohen, Shouhed’s fiancée, displayed her engagement ring.
During the “Shahs” Season 9 reunion, Ben-Cohen, who had two sons from a previous marriage, disclosed that she and Shouhed had no intention of entering into a prenuptial agreement.
“I would not marry someone if I felt the need to defend myself,” she declared. That, in my opinion, is not a marriage. I’ll just start dating then.
Also expressing her love for Shouhed, the blogger said, “The love and the connection that we have with one other, like, I would not be able to live a day without him in my life.”
Ben-Cohen uploaded a picture of herself to Instagram on March 18, a week before Shouhed was taken into custody, with the message “waiting for your call.
Ben-Cohen responded, “both,” when a friend questioned whether the caption was intended for her or Shouhed.
According to court records obtained by Page Six, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer accused Shouhed of many misdemeanors, including violence and illegally attempting to stop a witness from filing a report.
The reality star is also accused of possessing an assault weapon and keeping a loaded gun in a criminally improper location.
After nine seasons on Bravo, “Shahs of Sunset” was cancelled a week or two after Shouhed’s legal issues started. According to reports, this was because the show had become “too expensive to film,” but a Ryan Seacrest Productions source stated it had simply “run its course.”
Ben-Cohen addressed her fiancé’s arrest for domestic abuse through her lawyer because they didn’t have a reality show to expose their turmoil on.

Following Shouhed’s altercation, the couple—who have been dating since 2019—took a trip to Mexico. Shouhed and Ben-Cohen stayed at the Garza Blanca Resort & Spa, but insiders there told TMZ at the time that they did not interact much or have much PDA.
