Adele has finally disclosed details regarding her Las Vegas residency after months of whispers and quiet.
The day before the January premiere of her Weekends With Adele shows, they were abruptly postponed. Now beginning on November 18, the residence will run through March 25.
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will once again be the venue for the performances.
“After what feels like an age of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen,” Adele wrote in a statement on her website, “I’m more excited than ever!”
Eight more dates have been revealed in addition to the 24 shows that have been rescheduled.
Priority will be granted to those who already had tickets for the original show dates, registered for the Weekends With Adele verified fan presale on Ticketmaster, or were placed on the waitlist, when ticket sales begin on August 10.
Adele abruptly cancelled her initial residency in an emotional Instagram post, blaming COVID-related supply chain problems and overall discontent with the concert in its then-current shape.
Fans have been waiting for news from the singer for months; many of them bought tickets from third parties and are unable to get refunds until new dates or a cancellation are announced. The singer made ambiguous comments about the residency on “The Graham Norton Show” in February and at her most recent concert in London’s Hyde Park.
Adele abruptly cancelled her residency in Las Vegas in January, but she has since rearranged the dates for a run that will begin in the late fall.
Adele acknowledged that some fans were angry about the delay earlier this month but insisted that she doesn’t regret her decision to retool the event. She made this statement to BBC Radio 4 in England
In her most recent statement, the “Easy on Me” singer admitted as much, stating, “For some of you, it was a bad decision on my behalf, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the correct one. I’ve been most looking forward to spending time with you in such a private setting each week, and I’m going to give it my all for you.
Adele residency: Opening-night tickets going for more than $40,000
A concert by Adele will cost you at least a few hundred dollars, but tickets for her residency show in Las Vegas are already going for more than $40,000 each.
On the ticket resale website Stubhub, tickets for the opening night of her rescheduled residency, Weekends With Adele, range in price from $600 to $41,280. There were two tickets available at a price of $41,280 apiece as of 5:30 p.m. New York time on Monday, with the guarantee that the purchasers will be seated together. There were at least six further ticket tiers that cost $20,000 or more each. Ticketmaster doesn’t currently have any tickets available.
