Netflix’s La Casa De Papel – Money Heist Part III smashed records with 34, 355, 956 household accounts viewing the show within its first week of global launch on July 19th. It is the best first-week global result for a Netflix non-English language series. The social-issue action thriller is Netflix’s one of the biggest gameplays. The record rivals the 18.2 million who binged watched Stranger Things season three. Fans are already waiting eagerly for season four.
Money Heist mixes tones of action, passion and comedy all at once which makes it more enjoyable to a wider range of audience. Diego Avalos, the director of the originals in Spain shared, “It has been loved by fans all around the world because of the authenticity and originality of the storytelling.” The show has successfully connected the Spanish, Latino culture with the international world.
The shooting for the fourth season has already begun but Netflix is yet to officially confirm the series return date. The plot will follow the show’s dramatic cliffhanger ending when the team was left stuck in the bank and the fate of Nairobi was undisclosed. Scriptwriter Almudena Ramirez-Pantanella shared that the fourth season will be more exciting than the third season. Morte, Corberó, Lopez, Peric, Ituño, Acebo, Keuchkerian, de la Serna, Herrán, Peros, Nimri, and maybe Flores will be returning to season four of La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). In the recent Instagram post, Álvaro Morte Esther Acebo and many others shared an emotional tribute when the season 4 shooting ended. However, there is no clear specification whether this will be the end of Money Heist or not.
The Spanish television show was created by Alex Pina who developed the idea of the show with Jesus Colmenar in 2008. They aimed to combine elements of the action genre, thrillers, and surrealism while remaining credible. The fact that they were able to achieve this aim is an understatement.
