The latest collaboration with the Hidden Leaf Village
Naruto is undoubtedly one of the greatest shows to ever exist. Despite the original series ending in 2017, the love still exists. With popularity comes collaborations. Naruto has been part of numerous clothing and apparel lines, and even appeared in popular online game, Fortinite! With that comes the next venture. Naruto is now collaborating with Nike for a new line of Air Jordans!
The Naruto x Nike Collab
Celebrity advertising opened a new chapter in the 80s when Michael Jordan partnered with Nike. Now, in modern times, it has extended to animated characters as well. Anime holds just as big of a value as real celebrities, and brands are very aware of it, especially sneaker brands. Before Naruto, popular characters from shows like Dragon Ball Z, Transformers, and Rick And Morty have found themselves decorating shoes.
The rumours of the collab came out mere hours before the official announcement. The official Jordan Twitter account tweeted out to stay tuned for upcoming announcements. In the tweet, New Orleans Pelicans player Zion Williamson is also tagged. We are yet to see what this means, and how the shoes will look. Some other sources claim that it is going to look similar to the Jordan Zion 1.
Other Collabs
Nike isn’t the only one that wants a piece of the Seventh Hokage. In fact, Japanese company Mizuno has already beaten them by creating Naruto Sneakers. We can expect to see shoes modelled after main characters like Sakura, Sasuke, and even villains like Pain. Perhaps the newer generations like Boruto might also get his own shoe.
Either way, it’s very exciting news, and since Naruto will continue to be present in the anime industry, we can see more collaborations in the future. So, are you hyped for the new kicks?
