Spice and Wolf Anime to Return
The wait is finally over for the the Spice and Wolf fans. Isuna Hasekura novel, “The Spice and Wolf” will soon be made into an anime. A video for the same anime was also released recently. This is not the first time that Spice and Wolf will have an anime adaptation. Back in 2008 an anime adaptation released for the same on Japanese T.V. The first season had thirteen episodes. Another season dropped in 2009. However, the anime wasn’t renewed for a third season.
Hasekura’s Masterpiece
“The Spice and Wolf” is a light novel series by Isuna Hasekura while Jū Ayakura is responsible for the illustrations. 23 novels have been published since 2006. The story talks about a lot of interesting topics, for instance economics and trade. In 2007, a Manga adaptation released as well. Takeo Takahashi directed both the seasons.
The novel follows a traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence whose aim is to get money in order to start his own shop. One night, he encounters a deity named Holo in the form of a 15 year old. She negotiates with Lawrence, to travel with him. As the two travel and exchange words, it helps Lawrence increase his profits.
Announcement Trailer
On the 25th of February the official website for the Spice and Wolf announced that it’s anime adaptation is in production. However the creators did not confirm what story line this anime will follow. The franchise recently celebrated their 15 year anniversary and the announcement was because of this celebration. An announcement trailer also dropped which doesn’t reveal much information either.
Not much information has been disclosed regarding the upcoming project. The fans waited 13 years for this moment and it is here at last. The fans could not be happier.
