Forrie J. Smith will not attend SAG Awards
Actor Forrie J. Smith from Yellowstone made a recent announcement that he will not join the SAG Awards this year. Smith and the entire cast of Yellowstone were nominated this year for the prestigious award. However, Forrie is pretty adamant on not participating in the event.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards requires all attendees to show a proof of vaccination mandatorily. According to the announcement Smith made in a recent Instagram video, he will be skipping as he refuses to get the vaccination for COVID.
Forrie J. Smith declares he will not get vaccination
The actor started his video message apologizing to his fans for not attending the SAG Awards. He said he doesn’t mean to offend anyone and that it’s a requirement to be vaccinated for the attendees, while he’s not.
The actor, who plays the role of Lloyd Pierce in the Paramount series, further added that neither he is vaccinated nor he will ever be. He said he did not get any vaccination since his childhood and he doesn’t vaccinate his dogs either. Furthermore, he added that he never got a flu shot and believes that they mess up with the immunity system of the body.
Smith confessed that he wished to represent his heritage and culture on the red carpet. Hence he wanted to wear a cowboy hat and boots. But since that’s not possible this year, he asked everyone to enjoy the show in conclusion and said that maybe he can go down the red carpet next year.
Yellowstone nominated for best TV Drama ensemble at the SAG
The award ceremony, which will take place on 27th February, nominated the Paramount series ensemble. Moreover, the award ceremony this year will take place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
Smith appeared for the initial two seasons and is now a regular of the show in Season 3.
