Clutch your Stetsons, Central Texas down-home music fans, Garth Brooks is coming to Gruene Hall. On a mission to discover new “Companions in Low Places,” the down-home music hotshot has been on a voyage through plunge bars around the nation and the following stop is at the memorable Texas dancehall (in fact, not so much a jump) on Sept. 23.
Brooks has been sharing highlights from the shows on his “Inside Studio G” series which airs on his Facebook page every Monday at 6 p.m. C.S.T. and on this week’s episode, he revealed the next tour stop would be in the Lone Star state. Austin country radio station KVET 98.1 FM announced on Twitter that the show would be at Gruene Hall.
As per a public statement about the occasion, “the main spot that fans can get tickets is through their nearby nation radio stations.”
This will be the third stop on Brooks’ Dive Bar Tour. The initial two occurred at Joe’s on Weed Street in Chicago in July and Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, Calif. prior this month.
