The magical gang is back together
The official trailer for Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is out, and fans are excited to see the cast members, who they had grown up watching, return in celebration of the first movie’s 20th anniversary. Harry Potter fans had been eating good so far this year, with many announcements rolling in.
Apart from the reunion, HBO Max is reportedly developing a Harry Potter television show, and the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore also came out. The movie is now ready to release on Spring 2022. But now, let’s take a look at the official trailer for Return to Hogwarts.
The trailer
The first proper trailer for the highly anticipated reunion dropped on December 20th, and we got to see the stars, including the leading trio: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. We also got to see the other cast members get together, and personal interviews with Radcliffe that had him sitting down with Helena Bonham Carter, Gary Oldman, and Ralph Fiennes. The nostalgia keeps on growing as we see the Great Hall serving as the backdrop for the cast reuniting, while intimate chats were held in classrooms and common rooms.
We also got to see some exclusive behind-the-scenes look as each movie was made. We got to see them exchanging lots of laughs, as well as tearful moments as they approach the inevitable goodbye. We as fans will also be teary-eyed by the end without a doubt.
Release date
Before we wrap up, remember that this will just be a reunion. Do not expect them to announce the next slew of Harry Potter movies and be disappointed when they won’t.
Return to Hogwarts will be streaming exclusively on HBO Max on January 1, 2022.
