Adding that to the resume!
Dakota Johnson has revealed that she had given Olivia Colman, her co-star in the upcoming Netflix movie The Lost Daughter, her first tattoo.
In a chat with Town & Country, the 50 Shades of Grey actress, Dakota Johnson, shared that she inked Colman during a dance party with the rest of the cast.
The full story
It began with a new tradition that started at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this year. Netflix had offered to pay for a cast dinner party, but Maggie Gyllenhaal, their director wanted to change things up with a dance party. Dakota Johnson revealed that everyone was enjoying that post-vaccine life, and were not behaving normally. “If you go to a party, you f—— rage,” said the actress.
The party was held at the Altro Paradiso in Soho, and this was where Johnson, 32, convinced Colman, 47, to get her first stick-and-poke tattoo. Colman chimed in, saying that she might’ve agreed because she was completely seduced by Dakota Johnson and wanted her to think she was cool, or it could’ve been a midlife crisis.
Stars from other movies that played at the festival were also invited to the party, including Kristen Stewart, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Johnson’s Fifty Shades co-star Jamie Dornan.
The Lost Daughter‘s success
The Lost Daughter is already looking to bag numerous awards and nominations with the acting and story. In fact, Colman already won the Outstanding Lead award at the 31st Annual Gotham Awards. Gyllenhaal won the Best Screenplay and the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director award. This was a big step for her first feature film.
The movie will arrive on select theatres December 17, and will stream exclusively on Netflix from December 31.
