The new season
The second season of Bridgerton will feature Ashley Simone’s Kate Sharma and her romance with Anthony Bridgerton. After the exit of Regé–Jean Page from the series, the next season will focus on Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony Bridgerton. Netflix’s TUDUM event gave us the first look at the new season teasing the new family. Kate Sharma’s name in the books was originally named as Kate Sheffield in the novel. But due to the cultural adaption of the show, they changed her name to Kate Sharma showing her and her family of Indian descent.
In addition to this, four new characters have also been added. Shelly Conn, Charithra Chandan, Rupert Young, and Calam Lynch are the new cast members added for the new season. The second season will focus on the sequel book The Viscount Who Loved Me.
