Fifth and final season of “Better Things”
FX’ Comedy drama series “Better things” is going to end its journey with the forthcoming fifth season, confirmed by Pamela Adlon, creator, director, executive producer showrunner and also lead character of the series.
About “Better Things”
“Better Things”, the semi autobiographical series follows the life of Sam Fox who is a divorced Hollywood actress lives in Los Angeles with her daughters. She juggles between raising her daughters, Max, Frankie and Duke and other professional commitments.
Pamela Adlon plays the lead role of Sam Fox. Max, Frankie and Duke’ characters are portrayed by Mikey Madison, Hannah Alligood and Olivia Edward. Celia Imrie serves as Sam’s mother.
“Better Things” received Peabody Award for Entertainment Programming in 2017. On the other hand Pamela Adlon has been nominated twice for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at 2017 and 201’ Emmy. In 2018’ Golden Globe, she was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy. “Better Things” also got nominated for a WGA Award and five TCA Award.

In a statement Adlon said that she will forever be grateful to FX for giving her chance to tell stories of how she sees the world. The actor-creator added that making the show has been film school to her. She has huge respect for her cast and crew members. Pamela wants people to discover and rediscover “Better Things”. “This is gonna be a wrap on Sam Fox (for now). See you at the after party.” Added Adlon.
From her statement it can be guessed that the series will end but this might not be the end of Sam Fox. There is a chance of seeing more of her in future.
Last year the series was renewed with fifth season which is currently in production. “Better Things” season five is set to premiere in 2022.
