The recently made new group of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby, The Highwomen recently sang their brand-new single “redesigning Women” for the Howard Stern Show which is one of the six tracks to be released on September 6th this year.
Their performance was epic and loved by country music fans. They also sang a cover of the Fleetwood’s Mac’s “The Chain” which would appear in the upcoming film the Kitchen later on this year.
All the four members of the new band have a successful and busy life apart from their music career but for the love of music and give the country music genre an addition of their voices, they felt the strong urge to get together. They were bought together with the help of Peter Levin (keyboardist), Charley Crockett (multi-instrumentalist), Jason Isbell (Amanda’s husband and guitarist) and Brandi’s bandmates Phil Hanseroth, Tim Hanseroth and Chris Powell.
Carlile shared her personal experiences of life and told that she is a mother of young girls, and they all grew up listening to country music. She added that they had a class of songs in their era, and for the sake of their girls, there need to be more country music heroes. They always have had the intention to do their best for the country music since its place is being taken away from the hearts of listening by other genres.
Morris too had joined the Highwomen while already being in her own cycle of album and tour but she too felt that it better be high time for the females in the country music. They all fought for their song to be on the radio and hit the hearts of their listeners. Moreover, they were optimistic to open a new gate for women in country music this way or the other, it did not matter they got successful or not they just wanted to contribute to a great story about the High women.
